SINGAPORE - A 57-year-old man has been arrested for suspected involvement in a series of thefts.
He was apprehended on Monday some three weeks after allegedly taking a ring from his last victim. The latter, a 78-year-old, was approached by the suspect on Oct 10 at a Taman Jurong coffeeshop.
The suspect requested to see the victim's ring, then removed it and walked away. Preliminary investigations following his arrest revealed that he may be involved in several other theft cases.
The accused is expected to be appear in court on Wednesday.
