103 nabbed in Central Narcotics Bureau's four-day raid

SINGAPORE - The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) has nabbed 103 suspected drug offenders over a four-day period this month.

The anti-drug enforcement agency also seized 24g of heroin, 13g of Ice, 10g of cannabis and seven Erimin-5 tablets in the islandwide operation conducted from May 4 to 8.

Investigations on all the suspects are ongoing.

In one of the operations on May 5, a suspect who was supplying drugs to youths was arrested. The 26-year-old woman is suspected of supplying Ice to a 15-year-old drug user nabbed a day earlier. In a raid on her apartment, her 27-year-old boyfriend, who was living with her, was also arrested.

Officers seized three small packets of Ice, an improvised drug-smoking apparatus, a digital weighing scale and several empty plastic packets from their apartment.

She faces the possibility of enhanced penalties for trafficking to a young person.

If convicted, she faces a minimum jail sentence of 10 years, but women are exempted from caning.
