SINGAPORE - About 840,000 Singaporean HDB households will receive the next instalment of the GST Voucher - Utilities-Save rebates in April.

Annually, those living in one- and two-room HDB flats will be able to offset about three to four months of utilities bills on average with the rebates, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said on Friday (April 1).

Those living in three- to four-room HDB flats can offset about one to two months of utilities bills on average, MOF added.

The GST Voucher scheme is given in three parts - the cash component, Medisave and Utilities-Save (U-Save). It aims to help lower- and middle-income households with their expenses.

The U-Save component is distributed every quarter.

Eligible Singaporean households will each receive a U-Save rebate of up to $65, depending on their HDB flat type.
