Stockholm, Shenzhen, San Francisco, Tel Aviv, New York - these five cities have something in common: They are leading innovation hubs in a world experiencing rapid technological change.

The San Francisco Bay area is world-renowned for being the home of tech titans such as Google, Facebook and Apple; Stockholm is a prolific "unicorn factory", having spawned global brands such as Spotify, Skype, Minecraft and Candy Crush. The other cities are leaders in areas such as cyber security (Tel Aviv); blockchain (New York City); and the Internet of Things (Shenzhen). These cities are useful to keep in mind as Singapore goes about building itself as a Global-Asia node of technology, innovation and enterprise.
