SAINT-PIERRE (AFP) - French President Francois Hollande said Tuesday that a person had died from injuries sustained in a car rampage the previous evening, though his entourage later clarified the victim was "clinically dead".

The rampage in the western city of Nantes was one of three apparently unrelated but brutal attacks that have hit different parts of France since Saturday, prompting security in the country to be reinforced.
