SINGAPORE - A stretch of the Seletar Expressway (SLE), heading towards the CTE after the Lentor exit, was closed for more than 12 hours on Sunday morning due to an accident involving several vehicles.
The accident involved a private bus, a trailer, a diesel tanker and a car, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). The expressway was closed to clean up a oil spillage from one of the vehicles.
The bus driver and four passengers suffered minor injuries and were conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for treatment, Police said.
The police said that they received a call about the about the accident at 9.11am on Sunday.
News of the closure was first posted by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Twitter at around 10am. At first several lanes were closed, then the expressway was closed altogether. One lane was re-opened after 11pm on Sunday night.
LTA tweeted at 11.43pm: "Lane 1 of SLE(CTE) after Lentor exit is open to traffic. Lanes 2-4 will be opened progressively when Rd works are ready."
All lanes were opened at 4.22am on Monday.
