SINGAPORE - A Vietnamese woman who died after falling from West Coast Highway onto Telok Blangah Road apparently leapt off the expressway. She is believed to have gotten off a motorcycle before plunging almost six storeys to her death.
She landed in front of a bus-stop near Seah Im Food Centre after hitting another motorcyclist, who skidded 7 or 8 metres. The 24-year-old man suffered only minor injuries and refused to go to hospital.
The 25-year-old Vietnamese woman was reported to have been riding on the motorcycle with a middle-aged Singaporean man. The two were believed to be living together, according to Chinese evening daily, Lianhe Wanbao.
Her companion held her body and attempted to revive her, according to a reporter at the scene, but he refused to speak to the media. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
The police are investigating the unnatural death.
