A picture of art treasures inside

An installation incorporating a blown-up version of the Portrait Of Lee Boon Ngan by Singaporean artist Chua Mia Tee getting a touch-up outside National Gallery Singapore yesterday.

The installation is part of the Art Carnival and Share the Hope Facade Show to be launched by President Tony Tan Keng Yam on Nov 27 during the National Gallery's opening week. The original will be on display in the DBS Singapore Gallery.

The National Gallery opens its doors to the public on Nov 24, and there will be a two-week celebration of events and activities, involving dance, music, theatre and film. Admission to the galleries and exhibitions will be free for all till Dec 6.
