The Big Sick (NC16)

The film, based on a true story, is about how aspiring Pakistan-born comedian Kumail (Kumail Nanjiani) connects with white graduate student Emily (Zoe Kazan) after one of his stand-up sets. What they thought would just be a one-night stand blossoms into love, which complicates the life that is expected of Kumail by his traditional Muslim parents.
