Brilliant effort, terrible accoustics

I think The Straits Times underplayed how terrible the acoustics were at the Sing50 concert (A Tapestry Of S'pore Music, Aug 8).

Honestly, if it was not a song I recognised and didn't look at the performer for a visual clue, I would have struggled to identify whether the song was being sung in English, Malay, Mandarin or Tamil.

My summary is that it was a brilliant effort that should make Singaporeans proud.

Shame about the terrible, terrible acoustics.
