I am glad that Joseph Schooling, who won Singapore's first Olympic gold medal at the recent Olympic Games in Brazil, has two books to honour him and his achievements ("Fully booked Schooling is clearly hot property"; Nov 21, and "Fans queue to meet Olympic hero Schooling"; Nov 22).
He definitely deserves this for putting Singapore on the world stage.
I encourage books to also be published on Paralympians Yip Pin Xiu, Theresa Goh and others who have done Singapore proud.
I am always inspired by how these Paralympians faced not only the challenges of competition, but also the challenges posed by their own physical conditions.
I hope that the achievements of our Paralympians will not be forgotten.
