DBS Bank

Taimur Baig: Joins the bank today as chief economist and managing director for group research.

Mr Baig has close to 20 years' experience covering the Asia region, DBS said.

Before joining DBS, he was the principal economist at the Economic Policy Group at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

He had previously spent nearly a decade at Deutsche Bank's Singapore office, where his last position was managing director and chief economist, Asia.

Before Deutsche Bank, Mr Baig was at the International Monetary Fund for eight years from 1999.

Mr Baig will report to Mr Timothy Wong, managing director and head of DBS Group Research.
