Havelock Road hotel site on URA reserve list triggered for sale by public tender

A hotel site on Havelock Road has been triggered for sale by public tender, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) said on Tuesday.

The site was put on the Government's reserve list for land sales on June 27 this year. Reserve list sites are not put up for public tender until a developer tables an acceptable minimum bid for the plot.

The 60-year leasehold site was triggered after an unnamed developer committed to putting in a bid of at least $18 million for the 1,536.2 sq m site.

The land parcel consists of three conserved warehouse buildings, which are to be restored for hotel use.

URA said the public tender will be launched in "about two weeks" and the launch date will be announced later.
