BERLIN - German premium carmaker Daimler, often criticised in the past for adapting too slowly to new challenges, has changed to a higher gear in its aim to become a lean and more flexible company.
It announced last week a separation of the car segment from its truck and bus business, in news which sent Daimler AG shares up by 10 per cent.
