Market highlights

1 Three most influential bond investors say the Federal Reserve is still on course to raise interest rates this year. They are Allianz chief economic adviser Mohamed El- Erian, Pacific Investment Management's Mark Kiesel and New York Fed president William Dudley.


2 Property developer Frasers Centrepoint said it has applied to list a real estate investment trust, which will hold logistics and industrial assets in Australia.


3 SGX said that total securities market turnover value fell 23 per cent to $21 billion last month, compared with March. It was down 21 per cent, compared with the same month last year.


4 On listings, SGX said there was one IPO and another reverse takeover on Catalist last month. The total market capitalisation value of 768 listed companies stood at $897.4 billion as at the end of the month, it added.


5 Starland Holdings said it expects to report a higher loss for the six months ended March 31, as compared with the same period a year earlier. This is mainly due to losses for impairment on a development property in Singapore.
