Market highlights

1 Office Reits CapitaLand Commercial Trust, Keppel Reit and Frasers Commercial Trust - which reported earnings for the quarter to June 30 - posted an average 1.1 per cent decline in distribution per unit compared with a year ago, the SGX noted.


2 Among actively traded stocks, Great Eastern saw the biggest volume jump in July. It also gained 7 per cent. Mining plays Geo Energy Resources, CNMC Goldmine and Anchor Resources were also among the 10 actively traded stocks.


3 Offshore and marine player Ezion, whose shares have been hit as investors turn nervous on the sector in the wake of Swiber's troubles, said its rights issue was fully subscribed.


4 Ascendas Reit will place out 64 million new units to institutional and other investors at an issue price of between $2.344 and $2.417 per unit to raise $150 million.


5 SBI Offshore is terminating the proposed joint venture with Graess Energy and the proposed acquisition of assets from Germany's Grass Group. The JV had been to sell supply solar panels to the Maldives government, and install them.
