Singapore Zoo to feature miniature horse parade for Chinese New Year

Visitors to the Singapore Zoo will be able to catch miniature horses trotting in the park from Friday onwards.

As part of its Chinese New Year celebrations in the year of the horse, the zoo will be featuring eight of these falabella horses in its Falabellas Parade from Jan 31 to Feb 2.

The falabella is a rare Argentine breed of miniature horse, otherwise known as the first and original miniature horse breed. It is the world's smallest breed of horse.

"It is a true purebred due to its unique and historic ancestry, which is one of its greatest attributes. Falabellas are viewed as prestigious to have and are highly prized by those who do own them," said Wildlife Reserves Singapore in its press release.

The parade will start at 10.30am daily at Rainforest Kidzworld. Visitors can walk alongside the falabellas as they make their way to plant exhibit Garden With a View.
