Close to 100 family and friends of Miss Jamie Song Jisou, 24, her father Song Jung Woo, 56, and mother Kim Mee Kyung, 54, filled the service hall at Mandai Crematorium by 8am on Monday. The three hearses carrying the three bodies of the Songs who were killed together in a road accident on the Central Expressway (CTE) last Friday, arrived at 8.30am.

There were no wreaths or flowers but loud sobs filled the service hall as the covers of the coffins were lifted. Miss Song's older brother Seong Hwan, 30, gave a short eulogy saying: "I would like to share a lot of things with you. I lost my mother, father and my sister. I will go back to Korea. Let's cherish them in our hearts."

Mr Song and his family were heading to the airport at about 4am on Friday when the car he was travelling in broke down. His sister's Singaporean boyfriend Amron Ayoub stopped the vehicle and all five of them got out of the car. Mr Amron, 23, and three of the Song family members were killed when a car travelling on the CTE hit them.

The 34-year-old driver of the black multi-purpose vehicle has been arrested by police for dangerous driving causing death and his licence suspended.
