BENGALURU – The Indian government is re-evaluating its key incentive scheme to boost manufacturing after it ran into implementation hurdles. 

The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s main industrial policy. Launched in 2020, it aims to provide subsidies of 1.9 trillion rupees (S$31 billion) for large-scale production over six years.
