The art-meets-advocacy campaign, Liu’s first collaboration with a Singapore charity, aims to spotlight the lives of children with rare diseases and raise S$1 million for therapy, medical equipment and caregiving support for over 200 patients. For Canvas of Hope 2025, a Singapore chapter was created using The Straits Times and other SPH titles, marking both The Straits Times’ 180th anniversary and Singapore’s 60th year of independence. The artwork honours the media’s role in chronicling the nation’s stories while prompting reflection on which narratives are visible and which remain unseen. ST PHOTO: BRIAN TEO
