Trophies galore for Quah as meet ends

Swimfast Aquatic Club's Quah Zheng Wen plunges in, en route to winning the 100 metres freestyle final in 49.96sec on the last day of the Neo Garden 11th Singapore National Swimming Championships at OCBC Aquatic Centre yesterday.

The 18-year-old Singaporean also set a meet record of 49.73 in the preliminaries of the same event.

The Olympian was rewarded with the Neo Chwee Kok Cup and Chan Ah Kow Cup when he won the 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly finals respectively.

Quah is also part of the Swimfast team who won the Challenge Trophy as the Singapore Swimming Association affiliate that topped the points standings at the annual meet.
