SINGAPORE - Organisers of Oct 21-30's BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global will go on the charm offensive with families.

The first day of competition, Oct 23, will be Family Day, kicking off the prestigious season-ender of the professional women's tennis tour. It will feature live entertainment and fan participation activities both on and off the court.

A Family Day ticket package for the day, comprising two adult tickets and two tickets for children (below 16 years old) will also go on sale for a limited time. Fans will enjoy savings of 50 per cent in the Family Day Package.

There will also be a slight change in the format for this year's tournament. Singles-only sessions will be introduced and played out during the first four days of the event (Oct 23-26), ensuring that fans will catch all eight singles players over the first two match sessions.

The doubles event will commence from Oct 27, in a eight-team knockout format.

The US$7 million (S$9.4 million) WTA Finals will feature the top eight singles and top eight doubles pairs of the women's tennis tour over the season.

OCBC and StarHub customers can buy tickets in pre-sale starting April 29 to May 5. Advance ticket purchase specials for the public, including bundles such as the Family Day Package, All Singles Evening Pass and Full Day Pass, will begin in Phase 1 from May 7.

Phase 2, catering to the single session tickets, semi-final and final matches and concession tickets, will begin in July.
