Singapore paddler Feng Tianwei has been nominated for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Female Table Tennis Star award.

The awards ceremony, now in its second edition, will be held in Dubai on Jan 7. The awards are part of ITTF's annual celebrations to recognise the year's best players.

World No. 4 Feng has three singles wins on the ITTF tour this year - at the Japan Open, Ozcare Australia Open, and Philippines Open - and will be up against familiar foes Ding Ning and Liu Shiwen of China and Japan's Kasumi Ishikawa for the award.

Ding is the current world No. 1 and won the Women's World Cup in October. Liu, the second-ranked women's player in the world is the reigning Asian Games women's singles champion.

World No. 6 Ishikawa enjoyed a good season when she led Japan to second place at this April's World Team Table Tennis Championships.

Fans can cast their votes at ITTFStarAwards.com. Voting closes on Dec 17 and the fan votes will be combined with judging by a panel in the selection of the winners.
