Three S'poreans to fight in One event
The One Championship event dubbed Defending Honour on Nov 11 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium will feature three Singaporeans, alongside the two title bouts of the night.
Tiffany Teo will make her One Championship debut in the flyweight division against Egypt's Walaa Abbas, while Niko Soe will also make a first appearance, taking on Malaysia's Muhamad Haidar in the flyweight division. Benedict Ang, will battle Pakistan's Ahmed Mujtaba in a featherweight contest.

HK makes arrests over match fixing
HONG KONG • Five professional footballers and a suspected bookmaker have been arrested over alleged match fixing in Hong Kong's football league, the city's anti-corruption watchdog said yesterday.
Local media reported the five footballers played for Hong Kong Pegasus, a strong team in contention for the title, which unexpectedly lost a match last week against a Chinese Super League team made up mostly of youth players.

Rose out for two months with injury
LONDON • Olympic champion Justin Rose said on Wednesday he would be taking a two-month break from golf in order to fully recover from a back injury.
His decision means the Englishman will miss next week's British Masters, a tournament he won in 2002.

All Blacks suspend Smith over tryst
DURBAN • New Zealand have suspended scrumhalf Aaron Smith for tomorrow's Rugby Championship clash with South Africa after he was spotted going into a disabled toilet with a woman at Christchurch Airport last month.
New Zealand Rugby said on Wednesday that Smith had "failed to meet the standards" expected of players. The 27-year-old will face a misconduct hearing when the team returns to New Zealand.
