MADRID • Real Madrid and Juventus have opened talks concerning the possible transfer of French footballer Paul Pogba to Real, Mino Raoila, the player's agent said.

The agent insisted it would all come down to what Real coach Zinedine Zidane decides.

Mutko slams idea of Stepanova at Olympics

MOSCOW • Russian doping whistleblower Yulia Stepanova competing at the Rio Olympics while clean Russian athletes are banned would be "absurd", Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko has been quoted as saying by the R-Sport agency.

Stepanova, the 800m runner, went into hiding after revealing details of widespread cheating in Russian athletics.

Williams equal fastest tyre swop at Baku GP

BAKU (Azerbaijan) • The Williams Formula One team equalled the record for the fastest pit stop in Sunday's European Grand Prix in Baku.

The British outfit changed the tyres on Brazilian Felipe Massa's car in 1.92sec, tying the previous mark set by Red Bull at the 2013 US Grand Prix.

WELLINGTON • All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has advised Michael Cheika to stop letting England's Eddie Jones "bully" him as the Wallabies boss looks to avoid a rugby series whitewash by the English this weekend. Cheika has so far avoided trading barbs with Jones.
