SEA Games: Team Singapore get rousing send-off ahead of Myanmar Games

100PLUS and Team Singapore fans gathered to give the Republic's athletes a rousing send-off ahead of next month's SEA Games in Myanmar.

Some 19 sportsmen, including national footballer Safuwan Baharudin and 100m women's national record holder Shanti Pereira, were greeted with loud cheers from supporters at Velocity@Novena Square.

The contingent, made up of past and present students from the Singapore Sports School, were also presented with a commemorative scroll of wellwishes inked by the public.

Jennifer See, general manager, Beverages Singapore, F&N Foods, said: "It gives us great pride and pleasure to share the joy of our young athletes who must be elated to represent Singapore and who will undoubtedly do Singapore proud by outdoing themselves at the Games this December."
