To call Ko Jin-young a perfectionist seems like a major understatement. The South Korean's record for the 2019 LPGA season reads four wins, including two Majors, almost US$3 million (S$4.04 million) in prize money, the world No. 1 ranking and Player of the Year award.

It would appear to be a perfect year - yet Ko's own assessment partly explains the kind of mindset needed to thrive in the world of elite golf.
