Landmark four-year partnership signed at FAM headquarters in Selangor for a Singaporean side to return to Malaysian domestic competition and Malaysia's development team Harimau Muda to compete in Singapore's S-League.
The LionsXII kicked off their inaugural Malaysian Super League campaign with a 1-2 loss to Kelantan at the Jalan Besar Stadium. They would go on to finish runners-up to the same opponents that season.
Under coach V. Sundramoorthy, the LionsXII win the MSL, in just their second season.
The LionsXII, now under Fandi Ahmad, could finish only eighth. They also failed to advance past the group stage of the Malaysia Cup.

FAM announced that it will not be renewing the partnership signed with FAS, thereby ending Singapore's participation in all competitions in the Malaysian domestic calendar.
