High Court dismisses couple’s negligence suit against former relationship manager at Swiss bank

Taiwan-born Singapore businesswoman Fiona Lee Hsueh Ching and her Canadian husband are suing their former relationship manager Loh Kia Hui at private bank Julius Baer for negligence. Ms Lee said Ms Loh advised her to sell shares in Toronto-listed Lithium Americas Corp in 2017 for CAD$1.53 per share. Two months later, the stock was consolidated, which means each share would be worth five times. Ms Lee and her husband run their own F&B business, including Blooie?s Roadhouse restaurant. They did not sue the bank but Ms Loh has added Julius Baer as a third party to the suit.
