Kua Chee Siong

Chee Siong graduated from Temasek Polytechnic and worked at a production house as a camera assistant and production assistant. He joined The New Paper in 2000 before transferring to The Straits Times in 2012. He covered the 2019 Trump-Kim Hanoi summit and 2020 Tokyo Olympics. His work on Rohingya refugees won the Best News or Event Feature category at the EPPY Awards and Best in Feature Photography at the Asian Media Awards, both in 2018. Away from work, he spends time with his family and on his new hobby, gardening.
