SINGAPORE - Telcos Singtel and StarHub have rolled out a host of goodies for their customers to celebrate Chinese New Year this weekend.
In a statement last Friday (Jan 29), Singtel said that all postpaid customers will enjoy two full days of free unlimited mobile data.
The two-day window starts from midnight on Sunday (Feb 7) and will end at 11.59pm on Monday (Feb 8).
Singtel TV customers, on the other hand, will be treated to free previews of more than 150 channels over a 10-day period - starting at 6am on Friday (Feb 5) to 11.59pm on Feb 14.
Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, the telco's Consumer Singapore CEO, said: "The free TV viewing and mobile data will provide hours of quality family entertainment as they celebrate the festive period.
"We thank them for their continuous support and wish them a Happy and Prosperous Lunar New Year."
StarHub, meanwhile, will offer a free preview of over 150 StarHub Tv channels for its TV customers. The preview will start from noon on Friday and last till the same time on Feb 10.
Selected channels will also be available on Starhub Go for those on the move making house visits.
The telco has also lined up three meet-and-greet events with Asian stars, such as South Korean heart-throb Seo Kang Jun and TVB actors Grace Chan, Joel Chan and Kristal Tin.
More details of the events will be unveiled at a later date.
M1, Singapore's third telco, has yet to announce any Chinese New Year promotions.
Last August, Singtel and M1 offered free unlimited mobile data over the National Day long weekend to mark Singapore's SG50 celebrations.
Singtel also offered free viewing of its TV channels, while StarHub did the same for its TV customers.
