Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu looks almost certain to be unseated after a disparate group of opposition parties announced that it is on the verge of forming an alternative coalition government.
It will take a further few days before all the details of the new coalition agreement are concluded, and perhaps another week before a new government is installed.
