SINGAPORE - The top Ukraine prosecutor's decision not to launch a criminal investigation of former US vice-president Joe Biden and his son does not preempt the possibility of charges being filed after an audit of a gas company at the centre of an impeachment inquiry into US President Donald Trump, Ukraine Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Yehor Bozhok said on Monday (Oct 7).
Mr Bozhok rejected speculation that Mr Trump's call for an investigation into Mr Biden and his son, Hunter, played a role in Proescutor-General Ruslan Ryaboshapka's decision to review the cases against Burisma Holdings, where the younger Biden served on the board of directors.
