SINGAPORE - You might have seen the official unboxing video of Samsung's special "Batman" Galaxy S7 edge on YouTube.

Now, you can pre-order the phone at the Samsung Galaxy Studio consumer event, situated at Ngee Ann City's Civic Plaza, from 11am on Saturday (June 4). The price? A whopping $1,688.

Officially called the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge 4G+ Injustice edition, this limited edition smartphone is being launched to commemorate the third anniversary of the popular game Injustice: Gods Among Us.

However, the design is all about the Caped Crusader. The smartphone comes in a deep black hue accentuated with gold details. It also features the iconic Batman-inspired seal at the back. Its Android Marshmallow operating system includes a Batman theme.

Included in the package is a gold-plated Batarang (Batman's famed boomerang), an S7 edge phone case inspired by Batman's armour and a Samsung Gear VR headset.

It may seem expensive at $1,688, but Singapore is one of the few countries, including China and South Korea, that is even getting it. Quantities will be limited, says Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge 4G+ Injustice edition, with 32GB storage, will launch in Singapore on June 17.
