Ethan Lye won the Singapore ITF Junior Championships last March for his third title on the ITF junior circuit. He plans to enrol in the Furman University in South Carolina on an athletic scholarship next year.

Ethan Lye knows how tough professional tennis can be, having heard his coaches' stories from their ATP Tour days, but that has not stopped the 18-year-old from pursuing his dream of turning pro.
The Singaporean's ambition was handed a boost recently when he was offered a full athletic scholarship by the men's tennis head coach of Furman University in South Carolina. The offer is conditional on the submission of his SAT score.
