Ethan Lye knows how tough professional tennis can be, having heard his coaches' stories from their ATP Tour days, but that has not stopped the 18-year-old from pursuing his dream of turning pro.
The Singaporean's ambition was handed a boost recently when he was offered a full athletic scholarship by the men's tennis head coach of Furman University in South Carolina. The offer is conditional on the submission of his SAT score.
