In wake of outdoor activity mishaps, experts call for certification process to be examined

In the light of recent misadventures involving outdoor activities for schools, industry experts have called for a relook at certification standards.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Education (MOE) on Tuesday, it said that schools must ensure instructors have the relevant certifications before hiring vendors for such activities, and also need to have at least one certified person on site to handle rescue situations when necessary.
