In the last eight months, sprinter Mark Lee has cut short a family holiday to return home early to train, vomited midway during a demanding session and even cried a couple of times due to the pain.
The Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) Secondary 4 student, 16, endured it all for one goal - to win four golds at this year's Schools National Track and Field Championships. But he will not get his chance after the Ministry of Education last week announced the cancellation of the National School Games (NSG) due to the pandemic.
