Singapore's Constance Lien winning a jiu-jitsu gold at the last SEA Games in the Philippines. The sport was among several that were introduced by the hosts, who won five of the 11 gold medals at stake.

Competitive sport is often a numbers game - athletes aim to beat records and personal bests by a fraction of a second, a millimetre; teams fight for points; countries want to win as many medals as they can at a major Games.
It is also about consistency - they want be at their best for as long as possible.
