Football: Home United FC beats Siglap FC 3-1 in Singapore Pools FA Cup final

SINGAPORE - Home United FC's Prime League team beat Siglap FC 3-1 to win the Singapore Pools FA Cup at Jalan Besar Stadium on Sunday (Nov 20) for the second year in a row.

Home's Amir Zalani scored a brace (14th, 58th) before team-mate Ambroise Begue added a third in the 82nd minute. Siglap got a late consolation through Guntur Djafril a minute from the full-time whistle.

The Singapore Pools FA Cup was contested by clubs in the Prime League, National Football League and Island Wide League. All clubs in the three leagues featured in this year's tournament.

FAS' interim president Lim Kia Tong added his congratulations to both sides "for displaying true sportsmanship and for exhibiting colourful and entertaining football."

He added: "They have set the tone for a very vibrant landscape for the next season of the NFL which will be played in a new format."
