SINGAPORE - Universal Studios Singapore's Battlestar Galactica finally reopened on Wednesday at noon after being closed for nearly two years.
The previous four-seater vehicles have been replaced by two-seater vehicles to give a better view for those on the ride, formed by a pair of intertwined roller coasters.
The rollers coasters are around 14 storeys high, or 42.7m, at their highest point and travel at up to 90km per hour for 90 seconds.
Visitors at the theme park in Resorts World Sentosa started going on the ride from the moment it opened at noon. At around 12.30pm, its waiting time was around 50 minutes.
One of the first few riders of the newly opened Battlestar Galactica was National University of Singapore student Jolene Tan, 20.
She said: "I come to Universal Studios Singapore around once a year. I love roller coasters, so I came here specially today because I knew it would be open."
