Travel sites' dodgy practices: Experts say harsher penalties will give more weight to proposed guidelines

SINGAPORE - Harsher penalties are needed to give more teeth to the latest price transparency guidelines proposed by Singapore's competition watchdog, said industry experts.

The guidelines released on Monday (Sept 30) by the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) target all consumer-facing businesses including online travel platforms.
