Solar panel installation numbers growing at sizzling pace

SINGAPORE - Solar panels are becoming a hot item here, with the number of installations more than doubling in the last three years.

According to latest statistics released by the Energy Market Authority, there were 3,504 solar installations as at the third quarter of last year - 40 per cent higher than at the same time in 2018, and 113 per cent higher than in 2016.
