Singapore sends humanitarian aid to Taiwan's earthquake victims

SINGAPORE - Singapore has sent aid to Taiwan, following a 6.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Hualien on Tuesday night (Feb 6).

The natural disaster has claimed 12 lives so far.

A Republic of Singapore Air Force C-130 transport aircraft air-lifted humanitarian supplies worth $135,000 to Taiwan to provide relief to victims of the earthquake.

The relief package, comprising tents, blankets, medical supplies, food items and dynamo lights, were donated by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
