They may not travel at light speed, but commuters can now ride to an MRT station far, far away as Star Wars fever comes to Singapore's trains.
From now until Dec 31, carriages on two SMRT trains on the North-South and East-West lines will feature movie character designs from the new movie, The Force Awakens. SMRT buses plying central routes will also feature the likes of Darth Vader and C-3PO on their exterior.
A retail store opened by SMRT Commercial in Raffles Place MRT Station yesterday called Pop In will sell take-away snacks as well as licensed merchandise from upcoming movies and games.
The world premiere of the latest Star Wars movie was held in Los Angeles yesterday, while Singapore audiences can catch the movie starting tomorrow.
