Prudential staff toss their way to longest yusheng record

It is the season for tossing salad and this lo hei has made it into the record books. More than 800 employees of insurance company Prudential Singapore celebrated Chinese New Year with a new Singapore record for the longest yusheng to usher in good fortune yesterday. Chief financial officer Andreas Rosenthal (far right) accepted the Singapore Book of Records title on behalf of the company. The record for the 343m dragon-themed yusheng arrangement, which took eight hours to assemble, was set at Prudential Singapore's corporate office in Marina One. The record-busting yusheng was made with 2,880kg of vegetables and 29kg of fish. The previous record for the longest yusheng was 292m for an outdoor arrangement set in 2017. Sengkang South and Punggol Park constituencies had more than 1,000 residents tossing away at Hougang Street 61 to set the record on Feb 4 last year.
