The first two of 16 new train-cars for the Sengkang-Punggol LRT line were delivered on Wednesday morning to the Sengkang depot, where they will undergo tests before being put into operation next year. The 16 train-cars, which will boost the fleet size by 40 per cent, will be welcomed by commuters, who can look forward to more spacious rides. Manufactured in Mihara, Japan, the two train-cars arrived here earlier this week by ship.
