Lorry on fire at CTE near Braddell exit; no injuries reported

SINGAPORE - A lorry caught fire on the Central Expressway (CTE) near the Braddell exit on Monday (Dec 12) night.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told The Straits Times it was alerted to the vehicle fire along CTE towards the Seletar Expressway (SLE), at around 9.35pm.

A photo sent by a Straits Times reader showed a large blaze that enveloped the lorry. The contents on the back of the lorry appeared to be burning too.

The fire was put out using one water jet.

SCDF added that there were no reported injuries.

Two fire engines and one Red Rhino were sent to the location.
