SINGAPORE - Prices of resale Housing Board flats went up slightly in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to HDB flash estimates.
This was the first increase after nine straight quarters of price decline.
The Resale Price Index stood at 134.9 - a 0.2 per cent increase compared to the third quarter, HDB said on Monday (Jan 4).
Based on the flash estimate, the overall decline in resale flat prices for the whole of 2015 was 1.5 per cent.
This year, HDB is planning to launch about 18,000 flats - a jump of about 3,000 units compared to the 15,100 in 2015.
The move is to meet an expected demand due to recent policy changes.
The first Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise will be held in February, when about 4,150 flats in Bidadari, Bukit Batok and Sengkang will be offered.
