SINGAPORE - Social media posts and memes of Singaporeans charging across the Causeway to sweep supermarket shelves in Johor Baru have been making the rounds.

But interviews by The Straits Times of both Singaporeans and Malaysians there indicate that the number of Singapore visitors were, in fact, normal for a weekend.
