Mr Tan See Ching, 69, undergoing a scan to check his bone density and strength yesterday morning at the Lions Befrienders Bendemeer Senior Activity Centre. He is one of the 60 underprivileged seniors from the centre who were given the scan during a community outreach programme by Anlene and FairPrice to encourage them to lead active lives in their golden years. The scan uses an ultrasonometer to identify those who may have a higher risk of osteoporosis or injuries due to brittle bones.
